turnout for a day that was pushing 100 degrees.

A Letter from Rockwell Automation on their Upcomming Pricing
Changes
Notice of Price Change
for Allen-Bradley Products
Effective August 28, 2005
Dear Allen-Bradley Customer:
Effective August 28, 2005,
Rockwell Automation will implement a selective price change.
Because of the wide breadth of products and services offered
by Rockwell Automation, prices of specific products and
services have decreased, remained the same or increased.
The effect of the change is highly dependent upon the mix
of products purchased. The average effect of the change
in several major product groups is as follows:
For PLC/HMI and Motion Control,
the pricing action will be 3.4% on the majority of their
product lines.
Sensing and Safety products
will increase by a weighted average of 2%. The product
line prices will increase with a weighted average of 2.3%
on encoder products, 3.3% on proximity sensors, 1.1% on
photoelectric sensors, 3% on limit switches, 0.3% on DeviceNet
media, 0.2% on connection systems, and 2.9% on safety products.
Industrial Components is increasing
price on a majority of their products by approximately 5%.
Standard Drives Business will
implement a number of price actions, however the majority
of the PowerFlex product lines will not see any price increase.
For Global Manufacturing Solutions,
Allen-Bradley Remanufacturing and Advanced Exchanges services
have selective price changes with an overall net effect
of less than +3%. RepairPlus pricing incorporates
both increases and decreases with a minimum overall net
effect. Customer Training will institute price changes
that will result in a less than 1% overall increase to the
portfolio.
We regret that these price
changes are necessary in order to continue providing the
quality products and services that you, our valued customer,
have come to expect. They reflect increased material,
labor, and vendor costs, especially in older product designs.
We will continue to aggressively pursue cost reduction efforts.
