Class J (HSJ) fuses
New line
of High-Speed Class J (HSJ) fuses to the company's
comprehensive range of circuit protection solutions. The highly
innovative new HSJ fuses have been engineered specifically
for the operating characteristics of electronic motor controllers,
featuring high-speedperformance (low let-through
energy, or I2t) and overload handling capabilities
and qualifying as approved branch circuit protection devices
under National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements.
In one convenient Class J package, the UL 248-8 Listed
HSJ fuse will provide advanced protection for electronic
motor controllers by delivering both the branch circuit protection
required by the NEC and the high-speed protection necessary
to protect drives' and soft-starters' sensitive internal electronics.
While many electronic motor controllers include an internal
high-speed semiconductor fuse to protect their solid-state
components, others - medium- to low-power (200HP and below)
